The People's Loss
This number is counting how much the people have lost since August 1, 2020 without a relief bill.
It represents what should have been paid to The People in:
stimulus payments, FPUC $600, rent relief, healthcare relief, hazard pay, and small business support.
How is it Calculated?
The people's loss counter uses the Congressional Budget Office's (CBO) estimates of relevant parts of the HEROES Act as passed by the House in May. This counter takes into account the programs designed by the House to benefit those directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing shutdowns - including extended FPUC, Small Business Support, Front Line Employee Pay, Rent Relief and Mortgage Support, Additional Medicare/Medicaid Spending, etc.
Those funds estimated by the CBO to be allocated for 2020 have been divided over the remainder of the year after portions of the original CAREs act expired as of July 31.
